Cinnamon Buns

Yield: 2 9x13

Ingredients

Recipe

  • 1 C Warm Almond Milk or Milk
  • 4½ t Dry Yeast
  • ⅓ C Sugar
  • 4 T Margarine, softened
  • 1 Egg
  • 2½-4 C High Gluten Flour
  • 1 t Salt

Filling

  • ½ C Margarine, softened
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Glaze

  • ¾ C Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ t Cinnamon
  • 1 T Maple Syrup
  • 1-4 T Almond Milk

Instructions

    Combine milk, yeast and sugar, sit 10 minutes till active.

    Mix in margarine and egg, then flour and salt.

    Knead till soft, smooth and bouncy.

    Rise 1 hour to double.

    Filling: mix brown sugar and cinnamon.

    Roll dough to ½" thick rectangle.

    Spread ½ C softened margarine all over, sprinkle thick layer of cinnamon sugar.

    Roll tightly from long side.

    Line pans, cut into thick buns (not thin, want fluffy).

    Rise 30 minutes.

    Bake on 350 for 25-30 minutes until golden.

    Combine glaze (thick consistency).

    Cool 15-20 minutes, glaze.
