Red Marinated Olives

Yield: 24 oz

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Israeli Olives
  • Olive Oil
  • 5-8 Garlic Cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 T Chili Powder
  • 1 T Paprika
  • ½ T Smoked Paprika
  • Preserved Lemons, thinly sliced

Instructions

    Drain and rinse olives, transfer to pot with sliced garlic.

    Medium flame, cook 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add olive oil till ⅔ covered.

  4. 4

    Add spices, mix.

  5. 5

    If oil isn't red enough, more chili powder.

  6. 6

    Cook 6 minutes stirring occasionally.

  7. 7

    Add preserved lemon, cook 5 more minutes.

  8. 8

    Cool, store airtight in fridge.

Note

Bring to room temp or warm before serving. Without preserved lemon, add lemon squeeze (but preserved lemon adds a lot of flavor).
